Tomorrow will be the Running of the Bulls in New Orleans, yet another of this ever-partying city’s quirky celebrations, this one organized by the Big Easy Rollergirls, New Orleans’ all-female, flat-track roller derby team.
After you’ve gotten up early to watch this only-in-N’Awlins phenom, partied for a while and had a midday nap, you’ll want to stay in the spirit of Spain with an evening meal of authentic tapas and paella.
So better get over to Lola’s at 3312 Esplanade Avenue. Plan on hanging out for a while, though. No reservations here. Just other cheerful people sitting outside waiting for their table. It’s worth the wait.
