There’s more than one reason to wish the temperature would go down in sweltering New Orleans: The obvious, of course, is our comfort level. But the second (and for a foodie, equally as important) is the annual temperature lunch at Palace Cafe.
That’s right, lunch prices are set according to the preceding day’s high temperature; 81 degrees translates to $8.10, for example, while a high of 96 would become $9.60. Even at the highest point of the mercury, you’d have to agree that lunch is a more-than-affordable treat at this charming Canal Street spot.
