‘Art By Committee’ mural goes up in New Orleans warehouse

‘Art By Committee’ murals were a collaborative artistic effort.

Prospect .2 artist Robert Tannen and Art House on the Levee are co-hosting an opening reception on Saturday, January 14, at 6 p.m. at the Ideal Auto Repair Warehouse, 422 Girod Street, to celebrate the launching of “Art by Committee”. A dozen murals that have been completed during his collaborative installation at the Art House on the Levee will be displayed together for the first time.

Tannen is showcasing more than 200 feet of murals covering two walls of a large warehouse, and the individuals who have put their time and creative effort into the “Art by Committee” collaborative. More than 300 individuals–artists, students, children, friends, family and neighbors participated in the creation of the murals.
