ET CETERA

Eat: The delicious Odin sammy at Velvet Espresso Bar. They had me at homemade french baguette. The hipster hangout on Magazine opened a second shop in Central City, where it dishes up gourmet pop-tarts and homemade scones, among other delectable goodies. Did I mention they have coffee, too?

Drink: The not-to-disappoint blueberry mojito at St. Joe’s Bar. Because what else says bring-it-on New Orleans heat like a tall drink of mint infused blueberries and lingering undergrads? Not a Greenie? No problem. The back bar is always open.

Screen Shot 2013-06-05 at 2.53.51 PMMeet: The Clare Vivier Foldover. Because nothing spells l’été like a rainbow of textured clutches. I’m partial to the Blush Snake, but they are all pretty stunner if you ask me. However, please don’t opt for the monogramming. Très un-chic.

Fête: At the French Market Creole Tomato Festival happening this weekend. With festival food, live music and local farmers, what else could you need?

Dwell: In French-modern style. Check out this interesting insight into the world of New Orleans interiors from a local design icon in a great write up by Scout Guide New Orleans.

Dance: Because if your friends don’t dance, well then they’re no friends of mine. And there’s nothing like a good classic movie dance montage to bring out the dance moves in all of us. Let’s celebrate the safety of the dance this week, shall we?
