Culture Watch columnist Sharon Litwin recently wrote about Hope Stone Performing Arts Camp. Now, young artists in the program and planning to showcase what they have learned in a final performance at NOLA Spaces.
Led by Hope Stone Kids Director Dana Reed and Nathalie Gomes Adams, owner of NOLA Spaces, the summer program will culminate in a multitude of art: an original theater piece, a partner dancing medley, a modern dance performance, live music, African drumming, singing, a student film screening, and a gallery exhibit of the students’ work. Students will lead viewers through World’s Fairs of the past to explore diversity in art and culture.
The performance takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at NOLA Spaces, 1719 Toledano St. Tickets are $5 (suggested donation) and can be purchased on-site.
