The University of New Orleans Creative Writing Program will present two poets with three-part names, Nik De Dominic and Michael Tod Edgerton, for readings starting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the UNO Campus Art Gallery (on Harwood Drive; map).

Nik De Dominic, a Room 220 friend, has published poems and essays in Guernica, DIAGRAM, Los Angeles Review, Harpur Palate, Michigan Quarterly Review and elsewhere. His work has been anthologized in Poetry Los Angeles: Reading the City’s Essential Poems (Univeristy of Michigan Press), A Face to Meet the Faces: An Anthology of Contemporary Persona Poems (University of Akron Press), and Tuscaloosa Writes This (Slash Pine Press). De Dominic is a poetry editor of New Orleans Review and a founding editor of The Offending Adam.

De Dominic also runs a fantastic program for which local writers teach English classes inside Orleans Parish Prison. Room 220featured a three-part series on the program, by Ari Braverman, earlier this year. De Dominic also interviewed author, editor, and ex-con Wilbert Rideau for Room 220 back in 2011.

Michael Tod Edgerton is the author of Vitreous Hide (Lavender Ink 2013). His poems have appeared as the winner of theBoston Review and Five Fingers Review poetry contests, and in Coconut, Denver Quarterly, Drunken Boat, EOAGH,New American Writing, New Orleans Review, Sonora Review, and Word For/Word, among other journals. He holds an MFA from the Program in Literary Arts at Brown University and is an associate editor with Tarpaulin Sky. A native of Lexington, KY, Tod currently lives in Atlanta with his partner, Greg, and their antisocial cat, Penelope.
