What’s your current NOLA neighborhood?
Uptown New Orleans
How would you describe your cinematic style?
My cinematic style depends strictly on the story and how the Director and myself feel the image should be portrayed by what emotions and actions that will be revealed throughout the scene.
Who are your biggest cinema influences?
My influences are Sean Bobbit, Wally Pfister, Emmanuel Lubezki, Steven Speilberg
What do you do when you’re not making cinema?
My current job is a lighting Technician in the film industry in NOLA. When not working or shooting indie stuff, I play music in a band and travel as much as I can or just explore the city of New Orleans with friends.
Plans for future cinema?…
My plans are to apply to the IATSE 478 union as a Set Electrician. And just shoot and learn as much as I can in order to take the necessary steps to becoming a respectable cinematographer.
Thoughts on the local cinema community/industry (What’s missing? What’s great? What are you excited about?) …
New Orleans is a great place to make films. The tax incentives are huge plus but I also feel the people here are hard working professionals that live to make such films. The locations in New Orleans are very eclectic which give the shows many options to choose from. This city has given me so many amazing opportunities and I can’t wait to see what else it has to offer for film making.
