Photos and Setlist: Anders Osborne and friends headline Wednesday at the Square

For the next-to-last installment of YLC’s 12-week Wednesday at the Square concert series, local guitar hero Anders Osborne (alongside his usual bassist and drummer Carl Dufrene and Eric Bolivar) enlisted the help of all-star guests Brian Stoltz (funky METERS) and Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk) to help make this Wednesday evening set extra memorable. It was Osborne’s first appearance in the city since his Dead Feat night show during Jazz Fest’s second weekend last month and, as usual, the impassioned guitarist/songwriter did not disappoint. Osborne and Co. delivered a varied and career-spanning song selection that included a tribute to Anders’ wife (“Sarah Anne”) and daughter (“Dream Girl”) along with a handful of tunes from his latest LP Peace.
