Editor’s Note: There is so much live music in New Orleans, and sometimes it can be rather overwhelming to know what to hear, where to go, or what to do. Writer and music lover Wesley Hodges is giving weekly previews of the live music happening in New Orleans as well as some sneak previews into what is coming up. For a full view of Wesley’s suggestions, check out his facebook page.
Happy Holidays folks. What a night on Saturday at the Civic with Jim James wrapping up another year of live shows in NOLA for me. Easily one of the best shows I caught in town in 2016, the guy rarely disappoints whether with My Morning Jacket or any number of side projects. The Civic was electric and reports from the Anders run and Saturday night Jesus and Mary Chain shows were all glowing.
