Editor’s Note: Frances Rodriguez is a New Orleans artist whose work can be seen in restaurants and at different galleries throughout the city. UNO student and filmmaker Bret Borgeson took his camera and questions to her studio to find out about her craft and an alligator named Alice. Turns out that every element in each of her pieces has a story, and Bret Borgeson captured those stories so well that he was the winner of “Best Documentary” for this semester.
