There are plenty of options for those sticking around New Orleans on New Years Eve (see below) and a couple of Dr. John shows starting tomorrow night for those wanting to see Mac Rebennack and his band The Lower 911 hold court at Tipitina’s.

– The great Nine Inch Nails just released a five-song EP titled Not The Actual Events on 12/23 and, by all accounts, NIN should be hitting the road hard in 2017 after 2+ years on the shelf. Atticus Ross (Trent Reznor’s frequent soundtrack collaborator – The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl) will be joining the band as an official member! One of the greatest live acts out there and looking forward to seeing some tour dates hopefully very soon.
