Riding the Cartwheel in Audubon Park
Walking the walk
In Audubon Park
I watch the girl
As she jumps and dips
Twirls and skips
Beside her father
In perfect joy
She executes
The perfect cartwheel.
Then disappearing
Around the bend
Of the circular walk
She leaves behind
Her perfect cartwheel
Where it rolls and grows
Soars and swells
To take its place
Among the galaxies
Spiraling though time
Taking me with it
Along for the ride
