The Secret Center of the Universe 6/23/12

Walking along side Bayou St. John

I chanced to notice an insect hovering over the water

It must have been the sunlight shooting through the trees

At just the right angle,

At just the right moment

To open my eye to his place in the universe

As he hovered over the bayou

As he did his dance

As I did mine

As everything danced around us

I found myself at the secret center of the universe

While walking beside Bayou St. John
