The Single Drop
Whenever I have the opportunity
to contemplate a waterfall
I always look for that single drop
that separates itself from the rest…
The one that’s flung from the cascade
as it goes over the falls,
rises to the zenith of its arc,
and catches the sun before
plunging back into the rushing flow.
Then I make a wish that my life
might have a moment in the light
and be an inspiration as the single drop
always is for me.
