“The Flatness of Nothing”

Sometimes it overtakes me

and nothing satisfies.

Everything is flat.

Gravity doubles down.

The air thickens.

There is not enough space

for ideas to grow and take off

with a life of their own.

I am stuck with self,

And the self bores…

Then I realize this experience

might be universal, even cosmic.

It’s easy to think that the

flatness of nothing is what

sparked the Big Bang.

Now there’s a thought!
