The poetic city: “These Days”

Sometimes, “these days” are a reminder of “those days we need.”

These Days

When I think about the future,

it seems easier to think about the bad

than the good…

It has been this way for a while.

When thinking about the past,

it seems easier to think about the good

than the bad…

After all, the past got me

to the present.

In the present things are

neither bad nor good –

they are just what they are.

That’s where the future is

pouring into the past…

That’s where the action is.
