Musings Under the Oaks: The Indifference of Space   

 

Looking into the vast indifference of space 
where darkness reigns, it’s easy to believe 
that our lives are of no consequence.
 

But if you consider that space and time 

cannot be separated and everything 
that happens is absorbed into the fabric 
of the universe,
 
Then the importance of each life will shimmer
with the light of virtue wrung from the darkness,
and the indifference of space will be the frame 
for its meaning.
