UNO documentary: Veronica Hunsinger-Loe and Skin Horse Theater

Who: Veronica Hunsinger-Loe, director of Skin Horse Theater. This theater is defined by what it’s not: Its productions are not bound by genre, or by any particular dogma, or mode of performance. The purpose is simply to do what has not done before, to try something new and vastly different with each project.

Film by: UNO student and filmmaker Marino De Leon

Editor’s Note: NolaVie partners with students of UNO professor László Zsolt Fülöp, pairing them with artists, non-profits, environmental groups, and cultural entities to facilitate a live curriculum that results in a short documentary. In this short doc, UNO film student Marino De Leon talks to Skin Horse Theater director Veronica Hunsinger-Loe about the group, its inspiration (have you read “The Velveteen Rabbit”?), its mission and its plans for 2013.

The Film and Theatre Department of UNO and NolaVie present this series of short films produced by the students in Laszlo Fulop’s documentary class. Read Renee Peck’s column about the program here.
