wyesauction

More than 900 works of art, including sculptures, antiques, woodworks, jewelry, pottery and mixed-media pieces by local and nationally renowned artists, will be available for preview beginning Sunday. The works will be part of the 31st annual WYES Art Collection Twelve art auction, taking place June 6-9 and 14-16.

Would-by buyers can peruse pieces by Terrance Osborne, Martin Welch, Richard Baxter, Hernan Caro, Peggy Diliberto, Joachim Casell, Capt. Eddie Castelin, Tuna Seither, John Darré, Laurie Fisher, Tom Mathis and more, beginning Sunday, May 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the new WYES Studios at 916 Navarre Ave. The preview continues on Monday and Tuesday, May 20 and 21, from noon to 8 p.m. each day.

Viewers can also pick up the 2013 WYES Art Collection Twelve catalog at the Studios. This year’s catalog cover was inspired by artist Kim Pourciau McGuire’s mixed media theater seats. Brooke A. Minto, Deputy Director for Development and External Affairs at NOMA, will judge the juried art show.
