As all Jazz Festers know, the festival is about more than the music; it’s about iterations of intermingling. It’s about a 6-year old youngster at their first Fest and a renowned 76-year old musician at their who-can-even-count-anymore trip to Jazz Fest; a plate of Japanese beef skewers and a bag of piping hot Cajun cracklins. It’s about a trained Capoeira performers effortlessly tumbling and the man who has never had a dance lesson in his life bopping alongside a Brass Band second line; a mustached-baby, a cheetah-print jumpsuit-clad Phish fan, and the random Chewbacca backpack.
Check out a photo recap of the intermingling Jazz Fest sites from Sunday afternoon, and of course, if you can, get out their yourself.
