Hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, GiveNOLA Day, inaugurated May 2014, is the city’s one-day, online giving event designed to inspire people to support not-for-profit organizations that enrich our community.

From midnight to midnight on May 5, every dollar donated to support NolaVie and other not-for-profit organizations will be increased with additional “lagniappe” dollars provided by the Greater New Orleans Foundation and our generous GiveNOLA Day sponsors.

By donating to NolaVie, a 501(c)3 organization, you will not only help support the quirky, hyperlocal arts, culture and lifestyle stories to which NolaVie is committed, but also the writers, photographers and artists who make it happen.

The skinny on the prizes: 2 tickets to Big Sam’s Funky Nation Graduation Celebration 2015 at 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 at Tipitina’s; 2 front-row tickets to Merrily We Roll Along at Let Petit Theater at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27; 2 general admission tickets to Goat in the Road Production’s 2015 Play/Write Showcase at Dillard’s Cook Theater at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 11; and a gift certificate for $25 to the Prytania Theater. All prizes will be awarded by random selection from participants who tweet or share on Facebook the above story.
