Thursday, December 21/Antenna (3718 St. Claude): The Waves Reading Series for LGBTIQA+ voices returns after a long absence to present Andrea Abi-Karam, Alyn Mare, Chanel Clarke, and Chasity Hunter. From a punk poet cyborg to Alyn Mare, who writes from the Sonoran desert, against the border and for the club, all of the readings are original works. Friday, December 22/Marquette Theater (6363 St. Charles Ave): Is it the final week to travel through time and location to Pemberly and rejoin some of your favorite characters from Pride and Prejudice. There’s a love story, there are shelves of books, there is playing on a piano forte, and there are accents. Saturday, December 23/Axiom Fine Art Gallery (4613 Freret Street): Pass the Mic is having their homecoming edition at the weekend rolls in.
