Wednesday, July 25/Propeller (4035 Washington Avenue): Co-working spaces are hot right now, but some are getting rather ridiculously priced. Propeller is offering a weekly co-working/co-thinking/co-ed/co-were-not-sure space on Wednesdays. In case your mind is now co(n)-fused, what we’re saying is that every week, Propeller opens their doors for Coworking Wednesdays, a new event series featuring free co-working space from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. There is also food from delicious local food vendors. For more details about the space and Propeller’s co-working spaces, you can check out details here

Friday, July 27/Seven Three Distilling Company (301 N. Claiborne): It’s time to Laugh Out Loud With Love (aka Ladies LOL), which is a night of top-shelf, local spirits and comedy, featuring an all-female cast with proceeds benefiting the Junior League of New Orleans. This show on Friday will combine storytelling and improvised comedy, so who could ask for more? We could. We also want it to have a philanthropic purpose, and it does! Junior League members will tell stories and talented female performers will draw inspiration from them to create comedy, and then proceed will go to the Junior League of New Orleans. We love when things come full circle. The show begins at 7:00 PM, tickets are $10 (going to the Junior League of New Orleans), and you can get your tickets here

Friday, July 27/The Roosevelt Hotel (130 Roosevelt Way): Do you long for the days of speakeasies? Well, you should really do your research and also be super excited that we’ve taken only the fun parts of speakeasies and brought them back. In fact, New Orleans’ red hot venue for 1930s-era supper clubs is back in full swing this summer to celebrate The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel’s 125th Anniversary. In 1893, the property first opened as The Grunewald and is now considered one of the most historic hotels in the country. The Blue Room invites well-heeled locals and visitors to transport back in time for an evening of luxe dining and a smash hit show by The Great American Speakeasy on Friday, July 27. The event kicks off at 6:30 PM with a champagne toast in Teddy’s Café followed by seating in The Blue Room for a four-course dinner and show. Guests are encouraged to get glam and don their dancing shoes. Admission will cost you $125, and you can get your tickets and more information here

Saturday, July 28/Dashing Bicycles (1234 N. Broad): We love a good sale, and it’s not often that bikes and bike parts go on sale; yet, Dashings is making happy liars out of us for saying that. In other words, Dashing Bike’s summer clearance event is here. Since they need to make some room for new inventory, and are ready to roll out some big sales, their sale will span two weekends! This Saturday is weekend #1, so they will be discounting lots of items including apparel, helmets, bags, and bikes. All sales will be final and will probably go fast, so get there when the doors open at 9:00 AM! For more details, check out their event page here

Sunday, July 29/Tigermen Den (3113 Royal Street): Murder sprees are not pretty, but when they are sung by Mary Townsend and Meryl Zimmerman and composed by Tucker Fuller, well…we have to say, they are beautiful. This 12-song series will follow the story of a person who falls in love with a psychopath (we’ve been there!), which then ensues in vocal varieties all centralizing around murder. The concert begins at 8:00 PM, and tickets can be purchased at the door. We’d suggest arriving early to ensure you get a ticket and to get in the creaky ambiance setting the stage for Murder Ballads.
