“Our Giving Tuesday Poem”

It’s Giving Tuesday, so this is how we’ll begin. 

We have a project we’d like you to help us mend. 

With your help we will bring arts and culture to you — 

Through recordings, text, and interactive maps too. 

We love this city that we’re proud to call home,

And want to report on its vibrancy, energy, and all-around good tone.

But we need some cash to pay the players,

And we really hope you won’t be a naysayer. 

Our goal is $3,000 to pay the artists, writers, and engineers, 

And with your help you could become cultural pioneers. 

So help us get Nola life recorded and preserved 

By giving us some dollars that we know are hard-earned.
