Helen in ecstasy

Earbuds in place

Singing out loud …

Loud, out-of-tune,

and flat.

I look around to check for reactions.

No one objects.

Are they being polite?

Maybe a little jealous?

Or simply befuddled …

Seeing it matters not

I hide my embarrassment

Under angel wings

Newly sprouted

And continue the dance.
